Job Title: Information Technology – Data Scientist (Internal Audit)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architecture and key data pipelines for heterogenous datasets.
  • Ensure solution architecture addresses Internal Audit’s objectives and business needs.
  • Design efficient solutions to meet initiative outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to build secure data pipelines.
  • Utilize data analytics for structured and unstructured data to identify patterns and anomalies and generate actionable insights to enhance risk and controls.
  • Outline data lineage to trace sources of anomalies.
  • Apply quantitative analysis methods for business decisions.
  • Leverage the data team’s expertise to solve critical technical problems.
  • Address data risks, including those related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Ensure secure data handling throughout the pipeline.
  • Work closely with Internal Auditors to analyse large data sets, trends, and results to drive data-driven operational risk decisions.
  • Leverage Gen AI to expedite the delivery of solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of data analytics experience.
  • Proven expertise in data pipeline construction and data lake management.
  • Expertise in handling structured and unstructured data.
  • Strong technical skills in relevant data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R) and AWS cloud platform.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for delivering value and driving successful outcomes for the organization.
