Director, Machine Learning

Company Overview:

This American multinational financial technology company operates an online payments system, serving as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods.

Job Description:

In their day-to-day role, their responsibilities include:

Researching, designing, and building machine learning models for a variety of business use cases.

Managing a team of Machine Learning Engineers.

Working with data engineers to collect, clean, and prepare data for modeling.

Developing prototypes and conducting experiments to validate model approaches.

Optimizing models for performance, accuracy, and scalability in production.

Collaborating with software engineers to deploy models into live systems.

Regularly communicating technical concepts and results to peers and stakeholders.

Staying informed on the latest developments in machine learning and applying them as appropriate.

What they need to bring:

Minimum 10 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field.

Previous team management experience.

Proficient in Python and commonly used ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Strong foundation in machine learning theory, algorithms, and statistical methods.

Experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale.

Practical knowledge of model evaluation and deployment in production environments.
