Job Title: Data Scientist Supply Chain
Job Description:
A third-party is seeking a Data Scientist with a focus on Supply Chain to support the development of AI/ML solutions. This role involves collaborating closely with supply chain subject matter experts to understand their requirements and translate them into effective AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate will stay informed about the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, evaluating their potential applications within the supply chain. Responsibilities include developing testing and validation strategies to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and safety of AI/ML models, as well as conducting proof-of-concept studies and pilot projects to assess the viability of AI/ML approaches. This is a hybrid position requiring three days a week at the office location. Please note that this role does not include managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support development of AI/ML solutions.
Collaborate with supply chain subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into AI/ML solutions.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, to evaluate their potential applications.
Develop testing and validation strategies to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and safety of AI/ML models.
Conduct proof-of-concept studies and pilot projects to assess the viability of AI/ML approaches.
Qualifications: Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in an ERP system such as SAP in a manufacturing operational setting.
Knowledge of data mining techniques and ability to integrate multiple, large datasets in a complex analysis with clear outcomes.
Programming skills in Python, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience with Generative AI concepts and techniques.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
