Job Title: Vice President, Data Engineer, Group Technology

Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end software development and support for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) projects, change requests, and L3 fixes. Includes implementation, design, development, testing, and support on the Data team. Ensures quality, partners with technology functions, and creates frameworks for faster operationalization of data and analytical models (including AI/ML). Collaborates with citizen data scientists, installs/integrates software, conducts POCs, designs data integration frameworks, and creates technical documents. Develops applications (software, data integration, UI, automation), maintains/recommends software improvements, performs tuning, and participates in root cause analysis. Works in cross-functional agile teams.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience implementing large-scale data warehouses/marts/analytics in financial services with functional knowledge (Retail/Wholesale/Global Markets).
  • Expertise in Data Modeling, Data mapping for DW/DM solutions.
  • Expertise in FSLM or similar industry models.
  • Expertise in Reference data management (MDM tools).
  • Experience in Retail, Wholesale, Compliance, or Digital domains; Retail Analytics.
  • Expertise in role-based access control design.
  • Designing cloud-ready data solutions, Virtualization.
  • Technical skills: ML Model operationalization, Data Pipelines, Hadoop Data marts.
  • Expertise in Big Data frameworks (Spark, Impala, Hive).
  • Expertise in Hadoop Data marts using Spark (Java, Scala, Pyspark).
  • Leveraging LLM for intelligent data applications (e.g., NL to SQL).
  • Experience in end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle.
  • Expertise in Data federation (Trino, Presto, Dremio) with caching/indexing.
  • Experience with Data Catalog tools and automated Data Quality checks.
  • Good experience in Python, Java, PySpark, and Scala.
  • Expertise in Cloudera CDP components.
  • Good knowledge of Spark-based ingestion frameworks.
  • Experience building/operationalizing feature pipelines for AI/ML and data pipelines for DW/DM.
  • 2-3 technical certifications (Cloudera, Teradata, Informatica, Erwin, QlikSense, Microsoft R, data science workbenches, Data Virtualization, AS400).
  • Languages: SQL, Java, Python, Scala, Pyspark.
  • Automation/scripting: CtrlM, Shell Scripting, Groovy.
