Backend Engineer – Data AML Engine

About the Team

The mission of their AML team is to push next-generation machine learning algorithms and platform for the recommendation system, ads ranking and search ranking within the company. This team drives substantial impact for core business areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Building an effective toolchain to improve development performance.
  • Introducing new AI technologies to their online system, supporting billions of users globally.
  • Improving the reliability of the system and managing the challenges of scale and complexity.
  • Optimizing performance from hardware and handling a huge volume of requests.
  • Researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Updating software, enhancing existing software capabilities, and developing and directing software testing and validation procedures.
  • Collaborating with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong programming and coding experience with at least one modern language such as C/C++, Golang, Python.
  • Experience contributing to large-scale distributed systems and multi-tenant systems (architecture, reliability, and scaling).
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, self-motivation, engineering practice, and documentation skills.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
