Job Title: Data Scientist – Security, Integrity, & Investigations
Job Description
As a Data Scientist in the Security, Integrity, & Investigations team, you will tackle intricate challenges by analyzing extensive and complex datasets using diverse analytical and statistical methodologies. Your role involves applying your technical skills in quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to shape operational strategies. You will be instrumental in leveraging Machine Learning (ML) and cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities to enhance the efficiency of our investigative teams.
You will be responsible for leading the measurement, analysis, and interpretation of results throughout the project lifecycle, from gathering data requirements to building models and formulating recommendations. A key aspect of your role will be to define and track the success of our initiatives by setting goals, forecasting outcomes, and monitoring crucial product metrics to identify trends.
Collaboration is essential, as you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and implement strategic and investment decisions.
Responsibilities
Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop operational strategies.
Leverage ML and cutting edge GenAI capabilities to drive optimization for our investigative teams.
Lead the measurement, analysis, and interpretation of results from data requirement gathering, to modeling, and recommendations.
Identify and measure success of efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute strategy and investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of work experience in analytics (minimum of 4 years with a Ph.D.)
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)
Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling using the R or Python ecosystems, with packages such as pandas, Statsmodels, Scikit-learn, Tidyverse (dplyr, ggplot2, etc.)
Experience in leveraging ML and advanced GenAI to deliver data driven insights at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. Degree in a quantitative field.
