Data Analyst (Financial Services) Senior Consultant/Manager, Technology Consulting
Your key responsibilities
Perform business and technical analysis of current systems.
Gather and document business and technical requirements for new solutions.
Facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholders.
Collaborate with Technical Architects and Solution Architects, ensuring that design disciplines and standards align with the agreed methodology.
Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand their needs and challenges.
Translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear and concise user stories and process flows.
Perform thorough data profiling and data analysis to gain insights.
Ensure that all requirements are traceable throughout the project lifecycle, from initial documentation to the final solution design.
Work closely with project team members to guarantee comprehensive Test Cases cover all specified requirements.
Present data effectively using graphs, charts, and tables, and contribute to the design and development of relational databases for efficient data collection.
Prepare concise and insightful data reports and data visualizations for stakeholders to support informed decision-making processes.
Skills and attributes for success
Solid experience in query languages, with a strong ability to interrogate data effectively (e.g., using SQL).
Proven experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, and in close coordination with Technical Architects and Solution Architects to uphold design disciplines and standards.
Demonstrated experience in the comprehensive documentation of requirements.
To qualify for the role you must have
Minimum of 3 years of experience within the Financial Services industry, with exposure to firms such as asset managers, private banks or wealth managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, private equity firms, or hedge funds. Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for a Manager role.
Academic background in Data & Analytics, Engineering, IT, Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
Consulting skills, coupled with functional and technical knowledge of platforms like Aladdin Blackrock / eFront, SimCorp Dimension, Temenos WealthSuite, and Avaloq, are considered a significant advantage.
Ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and adapt to demanding work environments.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Working knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and applications.
Data visualization experience using tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, and QlikView.
