Lead IT Architect, Intelligent Transport

What will you do?

Solution Architecture & Pre-Sales Leadership:

  • Own and drive the solution development strategy for Intelligent Transport, aligning with customer needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority during pre-sales, leading solution design and technical discussions with clients.
  • Develop innovative, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for ITS (sea, land, air), ICCCTV, C3, Smart Cities, and Facility Management systems.
  • Ensure seamless technology integration across IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, IoT frameworks, and AI-driven automation.
  • Lead the creation of technical proposals, architecture blueprints, and system designs adhering to industry standards and compliance.

Solution Sales & Business Development Support:

  • Partner with sales and business development to create compelling value propositions.
  • Lead customer presentations, POC demonstrations, and technical workshops to drive solution sales.
  • Engage in strategic customer interactions to understand challenges, growth plans, and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with customers, regulators, and partners to influence solution adoption.
  • Support bid management, RFP/RFI responses, and commercial structuring of deals.

Cost Optimization & Competitive Positioning:

  • Oversee cost consolidation and pricing strategies for commercially viable and technically superior solutions.
  • Optimize BOM, deployment models, and TCO for customers.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and vendor management for competitive pricing and offerings.

Solution Delivery Oversight (If Required):

  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to execution, providing high-level guidance during implementation.
  • Work with project management and engineering to resolve escalations and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Establish quality assurance frameworks to meet customer expectations and technical specifications.

Leadership & Competency Building:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects, engineers, and technical specialists.
  • Develop training programs to enhance pre-sales, technical sales, and solution design skills.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

Market & Technology Strategy:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and AI in relevant systems.
  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic technology partnerships for business growth.
  • Influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies for future competitiveness.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 15+ years in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, and technical sales, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Strong expertise in designing and integrating:
    • Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for sea, land, and air
    • ICCCTV systems and large-scale video surveillance
    • Command & Control Centers (C3)
    • Smart City technologies and IoT infrastructure
    • Facility Management and critical infrastructure solutions
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and AI automation.
  • Proven ability to develop, present, and defend complex technical solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in cost consolidation, solution pricing, and commercial modeling.
  • Experience with modern cloud architectures, digital twin solutions, and edge computing.
  • Certifications like TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, ITIL, or PMP (desirable).
  • Strong business acumen to translate technical solutions into commercial offerings.
  • Proven success in driving multi-million-dollar solution sales and business growth.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships with customers, vendors, and regulators.
