Job Title: Lead AI Engineer
Impact: Drive GenAI innovation, democratisation, and CoE support. Design, develop, optimize, deploy, and maintain GenAI/ML solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead GenAI innovation and PoCs.
- Promote GenAI adoption and standards.
- Support GenAI CoE development (guidance, training).
- Design and implement GenAI/ML models for business use cases.
- Run AI/ML Ops.
- Manage vendors.
- Optimize models and prompts (GANs, VAEs, MoE, LLM Merging).
- Analyse and pre-process multimodal data for GenAI.
- Monitor model drift and contribute to data quality.
- Deploy and integrate GenAI models.
- Stay updated on AI/GenAI/ML advancements.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s in IT, CS, AI/ML Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
- 10+ years in data engineering/analytics (5+ in Data Science/AI/ML with GenAI focus).
- Proficient in Python, Rust, and SQL.
- Strong coding skills for AI solutions.
- Expertise in GenAI (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.) and ML (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data pre-processing and model evaluation.
- Good knowledge of prompt engineering and cost optimization for closed-source LLMs.
- Experience fine-tuning open-source LLMs (Llama 2, Gemma, etc.) and developing RAG.
- Familiarity with cloud AI platforms (Azure preferred).
- Good knowledge of multimodal models and embeddings.
- Experience with closed-source LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Mistral).
- Good understanding of embedding models and pipelines.
- Ability to develop LLM-based agentic workflows.
- Experience in LLM model/prompt evaluation and LLMops (Observability).
- Experience with Git, Agile/JIRA/Confluence/CI/CD.
- Strong experience converting business to technical requirements for AI applications.
