Job Title: (Assistant) Data Analyst – Data Management & Analytics
Responsibilities
- AI Application & Automation
- Design and build AI-powered tools and workflows that improve intelligence gathering, research automation, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and prototype lightweight applications for internal use.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques and integrate large language models (LLMs) into business use cases.
- Work with APIs and structured/unstructured data to automate repetitive tasks and scale research output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver usable solutions.
- Present concepts and tools clearly, incorporating feedback for iteration.
- Market Intelligence & Research
- Conduct addressable market sizing, category landscape analysis, and consumer trend research.
- Perform competitor and customer insights analysis.
- Create ad-hoc studies to support pitches, product innovation, and regional planning.
- Recommend strategic opportunities based on real-time data, social signals, and business objectives.
- Engage with internal stakeholders regularly to understand business needs and tailor insights.
- Operational Reporting
- Deliver key business metrics and support tracking of internal initiatives.
- Build scripts to extract, clean, and structure data from operational sources.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks and improve speed of delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
- 2-year experience in data analytics or AI application role.
- Detail-oriented and driven by analytical thinking, with a systems-oriented approach.
- Possess a strong analytical mindset and a knack for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities, with a capacity to support assumptions, create business cases, and conduct root cause analyses using data and metrics.
- Experienced in performing in-depth analyses of business issues, identifying root causes of trends, and formulating conclusions and recommendations.
- Strong Python programming skills, with experience in scripting and prototyping tools or lightweight applications.
- Confident in using SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and integration across multiple systems.
- Exposure to AI/LLM workflows, including prompt engineering, API interactions, and automation of knowledge work.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including basic understanding of storage, compute, and data warehousing functions.
- Experience with JavaScript or front-end logic, useful for enhancing UX in prototypes or internal tools.
- Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a plus.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders — gathering requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and presenting results.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, curious, and builder mindset, with a hands-on approach to exploring new tools, solving problems, and iterating quickly.
- Interest or experience in the beauty and personal care industry.
