Job Title: Consultant Data Engineer

Job Description

A leading technology consultancy is seeking a talented and passionate Consultant Data Engineer to join their growing team in Singapore. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals and tackle challenging data-related problems for a variety of clients. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying robust and scalable data solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to design intricate data processing pipelines, addressing clients’ most challenging problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists to design scalable implementations of their models.
• Write clean, iterative code using TDD and leverage various continuous delivery practices to deploy, support, and operate data pipelines.
• Apply different standard models for big data and create data models for at least one type of modeling technique.
• Incorporate data quality into your day-to-day work.

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python, with knowledge of Java, TypeScript, and Scala as a plus.
• Experience with tech stacks such as Databricks, Kubernetes, relational databases, SQL, and Spark.
• Experience with the Azure Cloud Platform is a must.
• Hands-on experience in data modeling and modern data engineering tools and platforms.
• Experience in writing clean, high-quality code using the preferred programming language.
• Awareness in building data pipelines and data-centric applications using any of the distributed storage platforms and distributed processing platforms in a production setting.
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques and the ability to communicate insights effectively to different audiences.
• Awareness of data governance, security, and privacy strategies to solve business problems.
• Experience with different types of databases (i.e.: SQL, NoSQL, etc.).

Professional Skills

• Understanding of the importance of stakeholder management and the ability to easily liaise between clients and other key stakeholders throughout projects, ensuring buy-in and gaining trust.
• Resilience in ambiguous situations and the ability to adapt your role to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
• A proactive approach to risks and conflicts, with the ability to manage them skillfully.
• Enjoyment in influencing others and consistently advocating for technical excellence while remaining open to change when needed.

Eligibility Requirement: At the time of application, the candidate must be a Singaporean citizen or already hold Singaporean Permanent Residency (PR).
