Job Title: Customer Engineer, Business Intelligence, Looker (Korean or Mandarin)
Job Description
This individual will be a key technical advocate for prospective and current customers of a leading Business Intelligence platform. They will work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and demonstrate the value that the platform brings to their data workflows. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders to acquire new customers, expand existing relationships, and foster business growth. The individual will also contribute to shaping the product roadmap by providing feedback based on customer requirements. This position requires fluency in either Mandarin or Korean to effectively support client relationship management in the respective region.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience working with problem-solving tools or data analysis (e.g. SQL, Python, Business Intelligence/dashboards).
Experience selling or supporting business intelligence tools, and using them to manipulate datasets and databases (e.g. Looker).
Experience in a data analytics or data science client-facing role (i.e., consulting/sales engineering).
Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Korean fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Looker portfolio or similar technology.
Experience in managing and delivering proof-of-concepts focused on the customer value provided by the solution.
Experience responding to functional and technical elements of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Experience in Advanced data modeling and analytics expertise, including experience analyzing data with SQL, Python, or R.
