Data Analyst (Financial Services) Senior Consultant/Manager, Technology Consulting

Job Description

We are seeking both Business Analysts and Data Analysts with financial services experience and a strong interest in technology & data to join our diverse team. Opportunities are available from the Consultant level up to Manager for individuals across the entire spectrum of Data & Analytics.

Your key responsibilities

• Perform business and technical analysis of existing systems.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements for new solutions.
• Facilitate workshops with various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects and Solution Architects to ensure adherence to design principles and standards according to the agreed methodology.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear user stories and process flows.
• Perform data profiling and data analysis.
• Ensure traceability of requirements from initial documentation to the final solution design.
• Work collaboratively with project team members to ensure comprehensive Test Case coverage for all requirements.
• Present data effectively using graphs, charts, and tables, and design and develop relational databases for data collection.
• Prepare concise data reports and insightful data visualizations for stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Skills and attributes for success

• Solid experience in querying and interrogating data, for example, using SQL.
• Proven experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and in close collaboration with Technical Architects and Solution Architects to ensure design principles and standards are met.
• Demonstrated experience in documenting requirements effectively.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Financial Services industry, having worked with entities such as asset managers, private banks or wealth managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, private equity firms, or hedge funds. Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for Manager roles.
• Academic background in Data & Analytics, Engineering, IT, Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Consulting skills and functional and technical knowledge of platforms such as Aladdin Blackrock / eFront, SimCorp Dimension, Temenos WealthSuite, and Avaloq are advantageous.
• Ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders and adapt to demanding work environments.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Working knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
• Data visualization experience with tools like Tableau, Spotfire, QlikView, etc.
