Job Description

This role involves leading and developing a team of data analysts within the contact centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and mentoring junior staff in data analysis and reporting techniques. A key aspect of the position is implementing tools and strategies to transform raw data into actionable business insights. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining databases, data collection systems, data analytics processes, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

The Data Analyst Manager will identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets, providing valuable insights to support business decisions. They will present data-driven recommendations to the executive team, utilizing statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management. Collaborating with management to prioritize business and information needs and working with various teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement are crucial aspects of this role.

Responsibilities also include managing and designing the reporting environment, encompassing data sources and security protocols. The manager will oversee the collection, processing, and interpretation of large data sets and develop and implement data analytics strategies to enhance business operations. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget is essential, as is maintaining clear and effective communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report findings.

The role also involves assessing system performance and recommending improvements for software, hardware, and data storage. Designing and maintaining data systems and databases, including troubleshooting coding errors, will be necessary. Furthermore, ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and confirming that all data collection methods adhere to legal regulations and standards are critical responsibilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Data Analytics Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming languages.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling) and data mining would be advantageous.
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
