Job Description

Machine Learning Engineer, Search (NLP) – Singapore

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the research and development of international short video search engines, using cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and massive data to deliver optimal search experiences.
  • Contribute to the improvement of international short video search algorithms, including:
    • Exploring cutting-edge NLP technologies: from basic word segmentation, NER, to application-based Query analysis, basic correlation, and full-link application of deep learning models.
    • Developing cross-modal matching technology: applying CV + NLP deep learning technology in search for enhanced retrieval capabilities, including video search, visual search, and related algorithms, encompassing video content understanding, visual representation learning, and multi-modal fusion.
    • Implementing personalized search: applying large-scale machine learning to solve recommendation problems in search for a more personalized user experience.
    • Managing large-scale data: from large-scale offline computing, distributed system performance, and scheduling optimization, to building high-availability, high-throughput, and low-latency online services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • Excellent coding skills. Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to extract essential insights from complex data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Publication records in top journals or conferences.
  • Experience winning ACM-ICPC medals.
