This company is dedicated to making driverless vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality. They are developing vehicles that can operate without a human driver in specific conditions, with the goal of integrating these vehicles into mobility networks for both ride-hailing and delivery services.
Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning Tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of advanced prediction models, motion planning models, and related deep learning systems.
- Support the continuous development and maintenance of an automated, distributed pipeline for training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models to vehicles.
- Participate in the design and development of scalable ML infrastructure.
- Perform data mining to uncover valuable and impactful insights.
- Research and implement metrics for model introspection and performance evaluation.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and collaborate in code reviews.
- Deploy models to vehicles and assess their performance using relevant metrics.
- Work in close partnership with the Prediction and Motion Planning teams to enhance tools and processes throughout the ML development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, along with relevant professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python or C++.
- Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including software design, version control, build processes, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Experience in designing, training, analyzing, and deploying neural networks.
- A passion for self-driving technology and its transformative potential.
- A collaborative mindset, with a belief that collective effort leads to greater success.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Motion Planning, Motion Prediction, and Behavioral Prediction.
- Background in autonomous vehicle development.
