Job Description:

Data Analytics Engineer

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Create value through developing data analytics solutions that support global business objectives and internal business requirements.
  • Proactively work with internal stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements to support business needs.
  • Analyze complex problems, define data source-to-target mappings, and create information specification documents for datasets.
  • Perform data preparation and cleaning to ensure datasets meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement efficient data storage solutions (databases, data warehouses, data lakes).
  • Utilize statistical tools to interpret complex datasets, identifying trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
  • Analyze data and recommend specific data types for feature engineering and rule-based approaches for business applications.
  • Develop and create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Design and maintain data systems and databases, including troubleshooting and resolving coding errors and other data-related issues.
  • Perform the complete data lifecycle, from generation to translation, effectively communicating trends, patterns, and predictions to executive leadership.
  • Support system testing and evaluation activities, including onsite acceptance testing, to validate and improve models and algorithms.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail when working with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language, preferably Python.
  • Knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Qlik, or other relevant analytics tools.
  • Practical experience with SQL, XML, JavaScript, and the ability to learn new tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
