Data Engineer – AI/ML – Data Engineering

Job Description
The company is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join its growing analytics team. The role involves expanding and optimizing data pipeline architecture, improving data flow, and supporting cross-functional teams with scalable solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across teams to ensure the delivery of actionable insights and efficient infrastructure solutions.

  • Resolves a wide range of issues with creative approaches.
  • Seasoned professional with a full understanding of their specialty.
  • Handles diverse problems with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets to meet functional and business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automation and optimization of data delivery.
  • Build infrastructure for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
  • Develop analytics tools for actionable insights into business performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues and support infrastructure needs.
  • Create data tools to assist team members in building and optimizing analytics production.
  • Continuously improve functionality within data systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) and 5–8 years of related experience, or equivalent education and training.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, Java, and MatLab.
  • Expertise in ETL processes and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing technologies, including Hadoop, MapReduce, HIVE, and Presto.
  • Strong experience with operating systems such as UNIX and Linux.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting solutions and follows standard procedures when analyzing data or situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of additional programming languages like JavaScript and R.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
