Job Description
The Data Engineer will join the Data Team, which is responsible for the entire data lifecycle within the organization. This includes architecture design, data ingestion, ETL processes, data storage, data visualization, and business intelligence. The role requires designing and building resilient and efficient data pipelines for both batch and real-time streaming data using industry-standard tools and cloud infrastructure. The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, data-driven platforms and ensure data integrity and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build efficient data pipelines for batch and real-time streaming data.
• Architect and design data infrastructure on the cloud using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to develop scalable, data-driven platforms and tools.
• Enforce data standards to ensure data integrity and scalability, improving validation processes and monitoring for potential issues.
• Proactively resolve data-related issues by enhancing monitoring and issue identification.
• Contribute to projects with an Agile mindset, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Analyze and define external/internal opportunities to enhance products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid experience with data processing tools such as Spark and Flink.
• Strong experience in building batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, with expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Ali Cloud, GCP, or Azure.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including window functions, aggregate functions, and user-defined functions.
• Proven experience in end-to-end data solutions, from ingestion to extraction and analysis.
• Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech, eCommerce, SaaS, AdTech, or Digital Wallet industries.
• Experience working with teams across multiple offices and time zones.
• Familiarity with big data tools like Amplitude, Tableau, QlikView, Ali Cloud DataWorks, MaxCompute, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and HBase is a plus.
