Job Description
The APAC Network Services “Internal Networks” team is responsible for the engineering and deployment of network infrastructure services across the organization. The role involves hands-on implementation, engineering, and deployment of new services, working with various teams and third parties to build solutions that balance business, security, availability, and resiliency. The ideal candidate will contribute to modernizing networks, managing risks, and ensuring the successful deployment of services in production environments. Additionally, you’ll be involved in troubleshooting, change management, and collaboration with global teams to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of advanced network services into production.
• Collaborate with support teams, business units, and third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions that meet security, availability, and business continuity requirements.
• Analyze technical application and service requirements, ensuring they align with overall business goals.
• Develop and maintain standardized network design patterns, contributing to long-term architectural decisions.
• Manage change control processes and provide third-level escalation support for complex network issues.
• Interface with stakeholders across business units to ensure all network infrastructure requirements are met.
• Contribute to audit, compliance, and regulatory review processes, ensuring network solutions meet required standards.
• Monitor and review network performance metrics to ensure maximum availability and optimal service delivery.
• Work closely with global engineering teams to ensure smooth transition and handover of new services to operational teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Deployment, ideally in the banking or finance industry.
• Strong experience in network engineering, including routing, switching, wireless, and micro-segmentation.
• Proficiency in software-defined networks (SD-WAN, SD-Access, Cisco-ACI, Arista VXLAN).
• Expertise in network security practices, VPN technologies, and tunneling protocols.
• Strong knowledge of market data delivery networks, including TCP and UDP multicast.
• Experience with network analytics, including packet capture and end system diagnostics.
• Familiarity with QoS policies, routing protocols, and WAN technologies (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, MPLS).
• Skilled in automation tools (Python, Ansible, YAML, REST API, XML, JSON).
• ITIL processes knowledge: Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, and Problem Management.

Desired Skills

• Analytical skills with a focus on root cause investigation and risk remediation.
• Familiarity with global banking environments and regulatory risk management.
• Willingness to work irregular hours as required by the global operating model.
• Professional certifications in Network Security (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CISSP) are desirable.
• Degree in IT or Engineering field.

Work Environment

• Flexibility to work across different time zones based on the needs of global clients.
