Information Technology – Senior Data Scientist (Advanced AI Track)

Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and passionate Senior Data Scientists with expertise in Generative AI and Deep Learning to join our growing team. As a key member of our AI Center-of-Excellence, you will contribute to groundbreaking research and development, driving the next generation of AI-powered products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cutting-edge research and develop advanced machine learning algorithms, including generative multimodal AI, autonomous agents, NLP, computer vision, recommender systems, mathematical optimization, game theory, and experimental design.
• Design, execute, and evaluate experiments, optimize algorithms, and ensure the scalability, robustness, and cloud-readiness of AI solutions for production environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior and senior data scientists, guiding their work and serving as a go-to expert in your area of AI specialization.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into impactful AI-powered products and features.
• Develop and maintain high-performance cloud and on-premises GPU compute resources for training large-scale machine learning models and deploying inference APIs.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research and rapidly adapt and deploy state-of-the-art models and services in production.

Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (exceptional candidates with equivalent experience may be considered).
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and lead technical projects.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in algorithm design/analysis, data structures, and SQL.
• Intermediate-level mastery of functional/object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Scala, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#).
• Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks like Spark and Kafka.
• 3+ years of industry experience in machine learning, with specialization in:
  • Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude 2, Google PaLM 2, Meta LLaMA 2)
  • Software development skills involving multi-agents and prompt engineering using LLM application/data frameworks (e.g., LlamaIndex, LangChain)
• Expertise in GPU-accelerated deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Ability to rapidly adapt and deploy state-of-the-art AI models based on the latest research and open-source code.
• Familiarity with Bayesian statistics/inference and Bayesian/causal networks.
• Significant experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other public cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies is a plus.
