Job Description
The Data and Artificial Intelligence Platforms (DAIP) team focuses on delivering high-quality, reusable Data and AI assets and services to enhance policymaking, service delivery, and operations across government agencies. Key responsibilities include:
Improving public service delivery and policy by extracting insights from government data.
Collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to develop, test, and deploy data products.
Writing production-quality code and working with engineers to operationalize models.
Learning and sharing knowledge in a multi-disciplinary team.
For senior roles, additional responsibilities include:
Establishing best practices and mentoring other data scientists.
Assisting with recruitment efforts.
The role involves building impactful solutions to address challenges across various domains like citizen engagement, healthcare, transport, and operations.
Key Products Under Development
DataHive: A next-generation platform for data discovery and request processes, enabling streamlined access to curated APIs and analytics tools.
Data Products: Solutions to compute and deliver derived data for operational and service delivery, fostering cost-savings and better data quality.
Fraud Detection Platform (FDP): A central platform generating insights for fraud detection and due diligence using graph-based data.
Desired Skills and Attributes
Experience working with data and machine learning to solve problems.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Scala) and the ability to learn new technologies.
