Job Description
The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures using modern data technologies. This hands-on role requires technical expertise in Microsoft Azure data engineering, Databricks, Python, and Java. The engineer will also ensure data accuracy, scalability, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for operational and analytical data platforms.
Optimize data processing and storage infrastructure for high-volume, near-real-time, and batch pipelines.
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues to minimize business operation disruptions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functional and technical requirements.
Document technical specifications, processes, and workflows.
Manage stakeholder expectations with clear communication.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering with proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, data engineering tools, and services.
Experience in data lake and data warehouse pipelines.
Knowledge of structured and unstructured data management and transformation methodologies.
Proficiency in technical integrations using microservices, APIs, message queues, and stream processing.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
Certifications in cloud technology and data engineering.
