Job Description
The Head, Product Management will lead a team to develop, manage, and enhance AI and digital products in the homeland security space. Reporting directly on AI initiatives, the successful candidate will oversee product lifecycles, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prioritize long-term product roadmaps in partnership with stakeholders and users.
Define launch parameters such as minimal viable product, releases, and go-to-market communication.
Collaborate with Solution & Design teams to identify and validate problem statements for innovative AI and digital solutions.
Engage stakeholders with value propositions to optimize resources and reduce time-to-market.
Evaluate and execute commercial opportunities to co-develop or integrate products to meet goals.
Manage user discovery, agile development, and testing methodologies with consistent reporting.
Lead cross-functional agile teams to ensure alignment on product requirements and delivery.
Manage team resources, performance, and alignment with stakeholders’ needs.
Skills for Success
Postgraduate/tertiary qualification in information systems, computer science, business, or social sciences.
5 to 8 years of experience in digital product management, including team leadership.
Proven track record in defining, launching, and scaling products.
Knowledge of agile methodologies such as lean and design thinking.
Technical expertise in digital trends and emerging technologies.
Experience in AI-related technologies, AI/ML, data science, and data analytics is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for articulating product vision and strategy.
Analytical and prioritization skills with a user-centric approach to product development.
Adaptability to uncertainty and changes, pivoting strategies as needed.
Passion for product development and commitment to delivering value-driven solutions.
Supportive leadership style focused on team development and collaboration.
Additional Information
New hires are initially appointed on a two-year contract and may be considered for permanent tenure based on performance. The shortlisting process may include medical declarations and further assessments.
