      Job Description

      The Data Engineer is responsible for developing analytics solutions, building data pipelines, and creating dashboards to address customer pain points and support business operations. This role involves close collaboration with project managers and technical leads to ensure the successful implementation of analytics projects within agile or waterfall development frameworks.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Translate customer pain points into actionable problem statements and develop analytics solutions.
      • Present results and insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
      • Build and maintain data queries and data pipelines using tools such as SQL.
      • Create sophisticated dashboards and automated reports for core business metrics and performance trends using visualization tools like Tableau.
      • Collaborate with project managers and technical leads, adhering to waterfall or agile software development lifecycle methodologies.

      Skills for Success

      • A university degree in a relevant field.
      • Experience in data pipeline and relational database development.
      • Proficiency in SQL query writing and database procedure or function development.
      • Familiarity with Windows and Unix environments.
      • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
      • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports).
      • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
