      Engineer/Lead Engineer (AI Solutions & Design)

      Job Description:
      The Engineer/Lead Engineer for AI Solutions & Design will drive the engagement strategy with internal and external stakeholders to advance the agency’s AI initiatives. This role involves conceptualizing AI use cases, developing solution designs, and aligning stakeholder needs with the agency’s AI strategy.

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Engage internal stakeholders to identify operational needs, gaps, and opportunities aligned with the AI strategy.
      • Translate user requirements into high-level AI use cases and project plans, including scope, processes, system limitations, timelines, and desired outcomes.
      • Develop and execute a framework for prioritizing AI use cases based on operational impact, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
      • Design and conceptualize solutions using in-house products, commercial products, or co-developed capabilities with external stakeholders.
      • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor engagement activities and stakeholder collaboration impact.
      • Prepare reports highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement in engagement efforts.

      Skills and Qualifications:

      • Postgraduate or tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related analytical fields.
      • At least 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, account management, or related roles, preferably in AI, data science, or technology-driven initiatives.
      • Strong interest in AI/Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Analytics, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
      • Experience in one or more of the following: Design Thinking, Workshop Facilitation, Change Management, Project Facilitation, and Management.
      • Strategic mindset with the ability to align engagement activities with organizational goals.
      • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Familiarity with Home Team Departments’ business and technical requirements is advantageous.
      • Applicants with more than 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.

      Additional Information:
      All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract initially, with potential for permanent tenure based on performance. Shortlisted applicants may undergo further assessments.
