      Deputy Director, AI Solutions & Design, AI Central

      Job Description:
      As Deputy Director of AI Solutions & Design, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and driving strategic AI initiatives. This includes fostering high-level stakeholder engagement, translating requirements into actionable solutions, and overseeing the delivery of AI-driven projects and products aligned with strategic objectives. The position also involves industry collaboration, trend analysis, and leading outreach events to enhance AI capabilities.

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Develop and execute a strategic engagement plan with senior stakeholders across multiple departments and statutory boards.
      • Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to evaluate and prioritize requirements for AI projects.
      • Lead teams in gathering user requirements through design thinking and translating them into high-level AI solutions.
      • Oversee the scoping, allocation of resources, and prioritization of AI projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
      • Facilitate partnerships with industry, academia, and research institutes for co-developments and joint projects.
      • Monitor industry trends and advancements to inform AI project roadmaps and strategic foresight.
      • Organize and lead AI-related workshops, roadshows, and outreach events.

      Skills and Qualifications:

      • Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with experience in AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology development, including at least 5 years in a leadership position.
      • Proficient in technology solution design and implementation, with knowledge of multi-tier architectures for AI and data analytics platforms.
      • Expertise in AI technologies across domains such as Adversarial AI, Vision AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI, and Emerging AI.
      • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with multi-agency teams.
      • Proven leadership and supervisory track record, with prior engagement experience in government projects preferred.
      • Knowledge in homeland security domains is an added advantage.

      Additional Information:
      All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract initially and assessed for permanent tenure based on performance. Shortlisted applicants may undergo further assessments as part of the hiring process.
