      SMAI Global Operations Intelligence Data Scientist

      Job Description:
      The SMAI Global Operations Intelligence Data Scientist plays a key role in driving innovation in automated industrial manufacturing, utilizing advanced data analysis and machine learning techniques to process large-scale datasets.

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Analyze terabytes and petabytes of diverse datasets to deliver actionable insights.
      • Develop statistical models, feature extraction processes, and supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning techniques.
      • Extract and cleanse data from various databases using SQL and other query languages.
      • Apply outlier identification and missing data handling techniques.
      • Demonstrate strong software development skills to support data science initiatives.
      • Explore machine learning and advanced analytical methods.

      Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

      • Proficiency in Python and/or R.
      • Experience with tools such as pySpark, SparkR, Hadoop, and Teradata.
      • Familiarity with TensorFlow and statistical software for automation.
      • Exposure to ETL, SSIS, and visualization tools like Tableau.
      • Background in time-series data, semi-supervised learning, and image analysis is a plus.
      • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is advantageous.

      Additional Considerations:

      • Knowledge of Javascript, AngularJS 2.0, and other modern web technologies is valued.
      • Publications in key conferences like CVPR, NIPS, ICML, or KDD are a plus but not a requirement.
