      AVP, Data Science

      Job Description:
      As the AVP, Data Science, you will lead data-driven initiatives to design, deploy, and monitor AI/ML models that create value for the business. Collaborating across teams, you will enhance operational processes, ensure governance compliance, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge data tools and methodologies.

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead and oversee data science projects, including the deployment and monitoring of AI/ML models.
      • Manage stakeholder expectations, set project goals, and ensure timely deliverables.
      • Design and integrate AI/ML solutions into business processes for optimized outcomes.
      • Conduct experimental design to measure value contribution of data science models.
      • Research and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance the tech stack.
      • Build and transition Generative AI (GenAI) from proof-of-concepts to production.
      • Implement governance policies ensuring compliance and quality results from data models.
      • Collaborate with technology, risk, and compliance teams to develop robust data pipelines.
      • Develop data models and marts to support data science applications.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related fields.
      • Master’s degree in Statistics or quantitative analytics preferred.
      • Proven experience in financial services with expertise in handling large datasets.
      • Demonstrated success in deploying data science models that deliver measurable business value.
      • Proficient in leading end-to-end projects with effective stakeholder communication.
      • Insurance domain knowledge and Generative AI (GenAI) experience preferred.
