SpringCube is excited to partner with a rapidly growing US-based startup in the Apple device management and security space to find a highly skilled Data Manager to join their team. This company creates solutions to make Apple devices secure and ready to use in professional environments.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a cutting-edge data platform. As the Data Manager based in Singapore, you will be instrumental in driving the company’s data strategy and supporting a remote team located in the United States. You will guide the vision for the data platform and ensure alignment across departments as the company embarks on data-driven research to enhance its products with AI and Machine Learning features. This leadership position requires close collaboration with various teams and strong oversight of the Data Science and Data Engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to develop and align on a data roadmap.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities to enhance products by leveraging automation, AI and machine learning.
  • Build and develop new data models to address key questions related to analytics and product performance for stakeholders.
  • Lead the design and construction of data pipelines that support both customer and internal needs.
  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment amongst Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders in research-focused projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, elevating their skills and capabilities.
  • Enhance the data organization by implementing industry best practices and ensuring high standards in code, documentation, testing, and monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or data science within high-growth environments, including at least 1 year managing and developing data teams.
  • Experience with working with large language models (LLMs), with strong skills in selecting and implementing machine learning algorithms.
  • Solid expertise in data modeling, building datasets and dataset curation.
  • Experience with various data storage systems (RDBMS, NoSQL, in-memory, etc.).
  • Familiarity with distributed data stores such as Cassandra, Hive, Druid, Pinot, Hadoop, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow and Kafka.
  • Experience with designing and building data warehousing solutions (e.g., S3, Redshift, Snowflake, HBase/Cloudera).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, data access controls, and data governance.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing technical and user-focused documentation for data solutions (data models, dictionaries, glossaries, process/data flows, architecture diagrams).
  • Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and retain a high-performing team.
  • A track record of successfully supporting and mentoring team members to achieve collective goals.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of data innovation with a company that is experiencing explosive growth and is backed by some of the most prominent names in the technology industry. If you are a passionate data leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
