Systems Platform Engineer – L1 Support

Job Description:

As a Systems Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of our infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Patch Management: Utilize tools like BigFix, SCCM, Netbot, or other relevant software to execute patching processes across various infrastructure environments.
• Vulnerability Management: Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, implement patches, and track compliance metrics.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on patch compliance, vulnerability status, and other relevant metrics.
• Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, escalating issues to higher-tier support as needed.
• Change Management: Adhere to change management processes and coordinate with application and business owners.
• Shift Work: Be prepared to work shifts, including weekends, as part of a 24/7 operations model.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management, and reporting.
• Understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and security concepts.
• Experience with patch management tools (BigFix, SCCM, Netbot, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.¹
