Senior Cloud Engineer, Network (Azure)
What will you do?
Implement and manage complex Cloud network structures within AWS and Azure ecosystems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Execute the migration of network services and Cloud workloads with minimal downtime and disruption.
Leverage AWS/Azure native firewall, SAAS connectivity, NLB, ELB, GWLB, NAT Gateways, Transit gateways, API gateways, control tower, and CloudFront.
Oversee infrastructure network design, implementation, testing, security, management, and maintenance.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform, for infrastructure deployment and management.
Plan, execute, and supervise projects, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering knowledge sharing and project success.
Maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
Conduct thorough post-migration testing to validate network functionality and performance.
Provide ongoing support, including troubleshooting network issues and optimizing performance.
Work closely with Team Leaders to meet system delivery milestones.
Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams and hand over as-built system documentation to Maintenance support teams.
Engage with back-line support and/or vendor support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the System Delivery team.
Respond promptly to incidents and service requests.
Perform NAC ClearPass administration for security posture check enforcement.
Analyze network utilization patterns and problems, recommending and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Provide standby and support services for network upgrades.
The ideal candidate should possess:
Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
5-8 years of hands-on experience configuring routers/switches (CISCO and Alcatel), firewalls, and intrusion detection/protection systems
Proficiency in:
Network technologies and protocols
Network Configuration
Network utilization and performance monitoring
Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting, and interpreting statistics and traffic patterns
Firewall rules configuration and security settings
Familiarity with Wireshark and Network Monitoring tools
Ability to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround
Ability to manage daily support tasks to meet stringent SLA requirements
Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills
Meticulous and process-oriented mindset
Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate to resolve problems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to document and track information
Experience in WOG environment is a plus
Understanding of Change Management processes
CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, or equivalent
Proven experience as a Network Specialist in Cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Chef, and Puppet
AWS and Azure certifications
In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on Terraform and Ansible
Willingness to travel as required
