Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and performance of our critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Service Reliability: Monitoring system health, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• System Optimization: Continuously improving system performance and scalability.
• Incident Response: Developing and executing incident response plans to minimize downtime.
• Automation: Building and implementing automation tools to streamline operations.
• Collaboration: Working closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Strong Linux system administration skills
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Experience with web server administration (Apache, Nginx, Jetty)
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
• SQL database skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with API and microservices integration

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
• Production support experience
• Experience with ITIL framework
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics)
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Understanding of SSL certificates and key stores
• Experience with compliance and security best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
