Systems Engineer

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and development of solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring the integrity of the System functional baseline and architecture.
• Define solutions that deliver the best trade-off between requirements, cost, schedule and risk, meeting customer needs.
• Prepare Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Problem Change Requests (PCRs).
• Create requirements and manage traceability using DOORS.
• Engage with transverse teams (Safety, Human Factor, Performance, Security) related to the function.
• Participate in technical reviews and working groups.
• Proactively participate in PI planning.
• Support Squad members (software, integration and verification).
• Promote knowledge sharing, ensuring work is captured sufficiently for re-use across projects.
• Follow industry best practices and contribute to their improvement.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (Desirable)
• Experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM) is mandatory
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant standards (e.g., ISO/IEC15288)
• Knowledge of product development methodologies, with a particular focus on iterative/agile development
• Knowledge of Safety, Security and Human Factors standards and practices
• Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment
• Coaching/sharing knowledge
• Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives
• A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
• Comfort in facing and managing complexity
• Sound judgment and independent decision-making capability where necessary
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Desirable:

• Experience in Systems Engineering including: Requirements, Design, Integration and Verification and Validation
• Experience in ATM Domain and related standards (e.g., ICAO, Eurocontrol)
• Experience in System Engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarian, Jira)
• Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and tools (e.g., Capella, Enterprise Architect)
• Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
