Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and build Azure Cloud platforms
• Engineer and integrate cloud solutions & services adhering to industry best practices, prioritizing scalability, fault tolerance, high resilience, security, observability, and simplicity
• Conduct proof of concepts for new cloud services or third-party cloud tools
• Develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges involving distributed systems, scale, and security, translating these ideas into designs and implementations
• Collaborate with peers to refine cloud strategy, adoption plans, and migration plans
• Work closely with development teams to guide them through the cloud journey, assess new cloud service requirements, and engineer and implement global solutions
• Identify, triage, and automate platform improvements to enhance reliability, operability, and developer experience
• Solve exciting technical challenges weekly with a talented team and cutting-edge technology stack
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills to proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact business productivity
• Engineer fully automated solutions using infrastructure-as-code and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Adopt cloud standards and methodologies in implementations
• Share knowledge within and across teams
• Participate in peer reviews to improve project quality

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 3+ years of relevant cloud engineering experience
• AWS/Azure Cloud Certifications (Associate, Expert, or Specialty level)
• Proven experience in designing, engineering, and implementing cloud solutions and services on AWS/Azure
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, AKS, ASE, Data Factory, Event Grid, Log Analytics, SQL, Blob, Table Storage, Queue Storage, Sentinel, and Security Center
• Experience in cloud transformation and change programs within technology organizations
• Proficiency across the infrastructure stack, including Windows, Linux, storage, database, and networking
• Expertise in modern DevOps tools (GIT, AWS DevOps, Terraform, AWS ARM, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of PaaS, Infrastructure-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code, and their effective application
• Familiarity with modern engineering and agile practices, as well as shift-left CI/CD principles
• Ability to document technical architecture using server and network diagrams
• Clear understanding of Development/SIT/UAT/Production environment requirements
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network-related problems
• Knowledge of web-based application 3-tier architecture
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to self-manage
