Data Engineering Manager

As a Data Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data platform, empowering teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, architect robust data pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and development.
  • Conduct performance reviews, 1:1 meetings, and create career development plans.
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding efforts to attract top talent.
• Data Platform Architecture:
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable and reliable data platform.
  • Implement robust data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
• Analytics Engineering:
  • Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand their needs.
  • Deliver timely and accurate data insights.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Liaise with internal customers to gather requirements and prioritize projects.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in data pipeline development and orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
• Deep understanding of data privacy and security.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science.
