Network and Web Application Security Operations Specialist

Job Description:

As a Network and Web Application Security Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization’s network infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving our network security solutions, responding to incidents, and collaborating with other security teams to ensure the overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions
• Configure and deploy network security tools and technologies
• Monitor network security tools and alerts
• Investigate and respond to security incidents
• Collaborate with other security teams to improve security posture
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in network security
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies
• Experience with network security tools (firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, GCP)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team¹

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security)
• Experience with security automation and orchestration tools
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response
