Job Description

This is an exciting and fast-paced position for a Software Development Engineer to join a dynamic and collaborative team. You’ll work closely with internal customers to understand their needs and design innovative software solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design software solutions
• Develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain software applications
• Work effectively with other developers on the team using Agile methodologies
• Train users on new applications and provide ongoing support
• Participate in research and influence technology roadmaps
• (Optional) Provide 24/7 support

Technologies Used:

• Programming languages: Angular, C#, .NET Core
• Frameworks: OpenShift, Azure (bonus)
• Databases: SQL (MSSQL preferred), potentially others (Oracle, Snowflake, etc.)
• Version control: Git
• Bonus points for experience with: Python, cloud programming (CICD using Azure), NiFi, data warehousing/visualization tools (SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI)

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in various software development areas, including:
  • Front-end development (Angular or ASP.NET preferred)
  • C# and object-oriented programming
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • RESTful API development (ASP.NET Core or Node.js preferred)
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Database technologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Motivation to work in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Python and cloud programming (CICD with Azure)
• Experience with data warehousing/visualization tools (SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI)
• Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (SQA)
