Job Description

The Governance and Experience (GNE) Data Scientist will collaborate closely with Algo & Ops teams across regions to support governance and operational excellence in e-commerce. This role focuses on building metrics, analyzing data, and deriving actionable insights to ensure safe and reliable transactions while enhancing the experiences of sellers, customers, and influencers.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement metrics to assess governance and experience operations, including risk, fraud, abuse, and user satisfaction metrics.
2. Quantify the business value of GNE initiatives scientifically, and partner with business teams to establish short- and long-term objectives.
3. Monitor changes in key metrics, conduct root cause analyses, and deliver insights to business stakeholders promptly.
4. Leverage data insights to influence decision-making, proactively suggesting solutions to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related fields. Candidates with science or engineering backgrounds and experience in data analysis are also welcome.
2. Proficient in SQL and Tableau; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis.
4. Strong ability to create reports and communicate effectively with global teams and senior leadership.
5. Quick learner with a keen interest in the business domain, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and able to handle pressure and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an e-commerce or tech company is highly desirable.
