Job Description

The commerce data science team focuses on driving business growth and operational efficiency through advanced data science techniques such as statistical analysis and machine learning. The team seeks talented professionals to provide actionable insights and solutions for commerce operations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Delivering actionable insights to drive business growth in Southeast Asia and enhance operational efficiency.
2. Designing data solutions to address commerce challenges like supply growth, seller growth, and marketplace efficiency.
3. Collaborating with key stakeholders to monitor, diagnose, and optimize overall business performance.
4. Conducting in-depth localized analyses and providing improvement suggestions aligned with business objectives.
5. Developing and improving data infrastructure, including dashboards and self-serve analytics tools, to support decision-making.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics) or a science/engineering field (e.g., computer science) is preferred, along with 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics.
2. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with expertise in at least one of the following: advanced measurement (e.g., A/B testing, causal inference), modeling, or optimization.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for collaboration within a global team.
4. A proactive, self-driven, and impact-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
5. Experience working with cross-functional teams is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous work experience in e-commerce or online marketplaces is strongly preferred.
2. Overseas business or analytical experience is an advantage.
