Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s digital assets. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing our security posture, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cybersecurity Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert, leading and influencing multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating robust security controls across diverse environments, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Security Architecture and Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for critical systems, applications, and networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Threat Detection and Response: Monitor and tune security tools, automate incident response processes, and analyze security events to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
• Security Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations, improve efficiency, and reduce response times.
• Security Assessments and Testing: Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling, to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Evaluate emerging security technologies, conduct proof-of-concept tests, and recommend solutions to enhance our security posture.
• Security Consulting and Advisory: Provide technical guidance and recommendations to project teams, ensuring security is embedded into all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create clear and concise documentation, including security policies, procedures, and reports, to communicate security risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance status to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security engineering and architecture.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
• Proven experience with a wide range of security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, XDR, firewall, intrusion detection systems, and cloud security solutions.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.) to automate security tasks and build custom tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP) are highly valued.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a significant advantage.
