Job Description:
This role involves collaborating with a dynamic team to design and implement the Data Management and Governance Framework, enabling the bank to leverage data as an enterprise asset for strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include establishing standards within data management, embedding processes to support policy objectives, and reporting the effectiveness of these frameworks to senior management. Additionally, the role supports the bank’s forums/committees and works with stakeholders to enhance data management capabilities and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Data Management and Governance policies and frameworks.
• Work with stakeholders across various departments (Risk, IT, Business, Ops) to embed operational processes and meet policy objectives.
• Measure and report framework effectiveness to senior management using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
• Review Data Quality scorecards, prioritize gaps, and track their resolution.
• Serve as a secretariat for bank-wide forums/committees.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address data pipeline issues and identify enhancements in data management.
• Support subsidiaries in tracking data lineage and cataloging.

Qualifications:

Who You Are:

• 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality, or 5 years of experience in banking within a governance or MIS-related role, or business consulting.
• Experience with data-related projects involving data analytics and process improvement is preferred.
• Familiarity with data management and governance principles, with the ability to articulate their benefits for data provenance and discovery.

Skills Required:

• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective stakeholder engagement, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of treasury and commercial banking products.
