Job Description

Cyber Threat Monitoring Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust security architectures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
• Monitor networks, systems, and applications for potential threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies.
• Develop and execute incident response plans, effectively mitigating security incidents and minimizing potential damage.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and GDPR.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies, and leverage your expertise to advise clients on best practices.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific security needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT security, with a strong focus on threat monitoring and incident response.
• Relevant certifications: CEH, GCIA, GCIH, GMON, or similar certifications are highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address security threats.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and devise innovative solutions to complex security challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
• Experience with security automation and orchestration tools
