Data Engineer (6 months contract)

Role Overview

This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a multinational IT company, where you will support data requirements for large-scale applications, analyze data patterns, and contribute to building data pipelines and dashboards. The position is based in the CBD of Singapore, with a 6-month contract and potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Pipeline Design & Development
   • Support data requirements by developing and designing end-to-end data pipelines for data transformation, ingestion, processing, and visualization.
   • Collaborate with system analysts and technical team members to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
2. Data Analysis & Profiling
   • Perform data profiling to identify data patterns and discrepancies, ensuring adherence to data quality and management processes.
3. Data Ingestion & Processing
   • Analyze source data and perform data ingestion in both batch and real-time patterns using tools like Kafka and Spark Streaming.
   • Develop ETL processes using Spark to transform and process data.
4. Data Visualization
   • Develop reports, dashboards, and data exports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools to meet business and reporting requirements.

Key Requirements

• Professional Experience
  • More than 3 years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Python and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud is preferred.
• Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline design, data ingestion, and processing.
  • Proficient in data transformation and visualization using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Other Skills
  • Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with real-time data ingestion and streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
