Role Overview

As a Data Scientist in the Group Data Office, you will use large volumes of structured and unstructured data to tackle business challenges across diverse teams. This role includes transforming business issues into AI and machine learning challenges, with a focus on deploying models that provide substantial impact across various domains, including Generative AI solutions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI and Machine Learning Development
   • Identify and translate business opportunities into data science solutions, collaborating closely with business leaders.
   • Build and maintain machine learning models, including advanced reinforcement learning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
2. Model Deployment and Monitoring
   • Ensure robust model deployment, utilizing tools such as FastAPI and Ray Serve.
   • Apply MLOps processes for ongoing monitoring and refinement of production models, ensuring performance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills
  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related quantitative fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, model documentation, and AI model pipeline deployment.
  • Experience with SQL, Hadoop, Trino, Spark, and model deployment via RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, GIT/Bitbucket), unit testing tools such as Pytest, and best practices in software engineering design.
• Communication and Problem-Solving
  • Strong communication skills for translating complex data insights to non-technical business users.
  • Creativity in data storytelling to drive actionable outcomes.
  • Genuine passion for AI, ML, and learning new technologies and techniques.
