Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist within the manufacturing data science organization, this role involves working as a subject matter expert in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. Based in the backend manufacturing plant, the Senior Data Scientist will work closely with domain experts to deliver AI/ML solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead AI/ML solution discussions with manufacturing experts across regions to drive efficiency, cost savings, or quality improvements.
2. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide valuable insights and forecast trends.
3. Initiate and manage projects to enhance operational excellence through data analytics.
4. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from ideation and model building to deployment in production.
5. Manage an operational platform and monitor related performance indicators.
6. Represent the department in data science and analytics topics and ensure efficient, cost-effective project deployment.
7. Contribute to intellectual property through technical design documents.
8. Collaborate with external partners, including vendors and academic institutions, to achieve strategic departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying AI & ML solutions in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI and TIBCO Spotfire.
• Prior experience with semiconductor assembly processes is an advantage.
• Business proficiency in English.
