Role Summary
The Network Data Engineer in Core Technology Infrastructure will work within the APAC Network Services team to implement, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes engineering and deployment, with a focus on network modernization, lifecycle management, and ensuring availability and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Implementation and Engineering: Oversee hands-on deployment of new network services, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure security and resiliency.
• Project Documentation and Standards: Create design patterns, maintain standards, and update documentation to reflect modifications.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate across teams to address project needs, manage risks, and provide consulting support.
• Escalation and Troubleshooting: Provide third-level support for troubleshooting and risk mitigation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support audit activities, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations, ensuring adherence to network standards.
• Capacity and Risk Management: Review capacity metrics to guarantee service availability and manage underlying risks.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with global engineering and operations teams to transition new services seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Approximately 8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Deployment, ideally within banking or finance.
  • Proficiency in network engineering and deployment, including Routing, Switching (Cisco/Arista), Wireless (Cisco, Aruba), and SD-WAN.
  • Knowledge of software-defined networks, network security practices, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience in network analytics, packet capture analysis, and Market Data networks (TCP, UDP).
  • Familiarity with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, YAML).
  • Strong understanding of QoS policies, routing protocols, and ITIL processes.
  • Ability to create network diagrams and summarize complex technical issues for business partners.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in next-gen technology.
  • Experience in regulatory risk management.
  • Professional certifications (CCIE, CCNP, CISSP) and a degree in IT/Engineering are desirable.
