Role Summary
As a Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning, you will join the Trust and Safety R&D team, focusing on identifying and defending against internet abuse and fraud. You will be responsible for designing and developing data collection and processing pipelines, improving data quality, and evaluating machine learning models to enhance platform safety. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong data science background to work on cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data collection and processing pipelines, including data labeling, filtering, cleaning, visualization, and auditing.
• Research and apply data science methodologies to evaluate and improve machine learning models, such as CV/NLP models and LLMs.
• Design a metrics framework to track and measure product health, analyzing the root causes of metric movements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure data-driven decision-making and product improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: content understanding/moderation, machine learning, product iteration, LLM applications, or fraud detection.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data mining, particularly in search, recommendation, ads, content moderation, or anti-fraud.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle complexity and align with various stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with modern machine learning, LLM evaluation, and prompt engineering.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, able to manage urgency and complexity in cross-functional settings.
