Role Summary
The Search E-Commerce team focuses on enhancing TikTok’s e-commerce search engine, combining cutting-edge machine learning, NLP, CV, and multi-modal technology to optimize user experience. This role is essential for creating efficient, high-quality search solutions for e-commerce, benefiting over a billion monthly users worldwide. Responsibilities include improving search quality, developing personalized user interest models, and contributing to the long-term growth of GMV.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance search quality through query analysis, multi-modal matching, and end-to-end shopping experience improvements.
• Design ranking systems to improve search personalization, shopping conversion, and GMV growth.
• Solve ecosystem challenges such as supply-demand matching and business cold starts to ensure sustainable growth.
• Collaborate within a team and utilize statistical and programming skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Industry experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on user experience.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficient coding skills with expertise in data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to business changes, and strong communication skills.
  • Publications in top journals or experience in ACM-ICPC are advantageous.
