Data Scientist – E-commerce Governance

Role Summary
As a Data Scientist in E-commerce Governance, you will work closely with Governance and Experience (GNE) Algorithm & Operations teams to create a safe and trustworthy online shopping environment. You will focus on setting up metrics for governance, managing risk and fraud, analyzing user experiences, and delivering insights to support short- and long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish metrics to measure governance and experience operations, covering risk, fraud, and abuse management as well as user experience for sellers, customers, and influencers.
• Validate GNE business impact scientifically and collaborate with business teams to set both short- and long-term objectives.
• Monitor and investigate changes in key metrics, providing timely insights to business partners.
• Leverage data to generate impactful business insights and proactive solutions, supporting the business in meeting its objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in SQL and Tableau; familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data analysis.
  • Ability to independently complete reports and communicate with global staff and senior leadership.
  • Quick adaptability to the business domain, with a strong desire to learn and tackle challenges.
  • Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an e-commerce or technology company.
